More Body Cavity Search Horrors

Wow, I was going through my blog and saw this draft from 2012, which I never posted. I looked it up and found out that it’s true.

Still wanna fight the Drug War? Well, maybe you weren’t aware that, according to a report in The New York Times, the US Supreme Court in April of 2012 decided 5-4 that “officials may strip-search people arrested for any offense, however minor, before admitting them to jails even if the officials have no reason to suspect the presence of contraband.”

Yeah, maybe you want to read that again, because you might think your eyes have deceived you. David Eckert knows about it and he didn’t have to read the Times to find out. He made the mistake of running a stop sign in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Deming, New Mexico, when one of Deming’s finest pulled him over.
